Arrival By Car
Coming From Munich/North
Coming from Munich, you drive on the motorway A8 towards Salzburg. You will pass the border to Austria and then continue on the motorway A1. Please note that all Austrian motorways are subject to toll fees. The toll stickers can be purchased at the border crossing Walserberg and in tobacco shops close to the borders.
Drive on the A1 motorway towards Vienna until you reach the exit Thalgau. Then continue on the A road towards Hof. At the roundabout take the exit Hof/Bad Ischl. From Bad Ischl follow the signs to Altaussee.
Coming from Vienna/East
The quickest way will lead you via the motorway A1. Drive until you reach the exit Regau and continue onwards via Gmunden and Bad Ischl, once you have reached Bad Ischl it’s only a few more kilometres to reach Altaussee.
Coming From Villach/South
Your journey from the south will lead you to Liezen first of all. Here continue towards Trautenfels and then further to Bad Aussee.
Coming from Innsbruck/West
On the A12 and the German motorway A8 you will drive via the “large German Corner” towards Salzburg. Drive on the A1 motorway towards Vienna until you reach the exit Thalgau. Then continue on the A road towards Hof. At the roundabout take the exit Hof/Bad Ischl. From Bad Ischl follow the signs to Altaussee.
Arrival By Train: Altaussee In Austria
You will reach your holiday destination of Altaussee fully relaxed with an arrival by train – followed by a short bus ride to Hotel Seevilla.
Once you have arrived at the Bad Aussee train station it’s only a few more kilometres to reach your holiday paradise at the Altausseer Lake. By bus you will bridge the distance in only 15 minutes.
